How is stone delivered — courier or pallet?
Stone and tiles travel on pallets by freight, never as parcel courier items. Pallets are heavy and need either a forklift on site (business addresses, most building sites) or a tail-lift truck that lowers the pallet to ground level (homes).
Tell us which one you have and we price accordingly — the two rates are different, and the difference is real.
Is freight included in the price at checkout?
No. For anything 22 kg and over, freight is not charged at checkout. Once you order we confirm the exact freight for your address, email it to you, and charge nothing until you approve it.
If checkout shows a $0.00 freight line marked "Free", that is not free delivery — it is a quoted-after-purchase item. Nothing is charged for freight until you say yes in writing.
How much stone fits on one pallet?
Every freight price we publish for stone is a full pallet price, for up to 500 kg — not a per-square-metre or per-piece price. One pallet holds roughly:
• ~6.5 m² of 30 mm cobbles and pavers (~75 kg/m²)
• ~10 m² of 20 mm stone (~50 kg/m²)
• ~17 m² of 12 mm tiles (~29 kg/m²)
All of those stay under the 500 kg cap.
Will it look exactly like the photos?
No — and it should not. This is natural stone: colour, veining, tone and surface texture vary from piece to piece and from batch to batch. Photographs show the character of the stone, not a guaranteed match to the piece you receive.
If a consistent, uniform look matters to your project, order the whole area in one batch rather than topping up later, and ask us before you order.
Can I order less than a full pallet?
Yes. Orders under 22 kg go by courier at normal parcel rates. Anything heavier is still palletised and individually quoted — a part pallet costs less in total than a full one, but there is still a pallet freight charge underneath it.
Can I see the stone before ordering?
Yes. Samples are available for most ranges, and you are welcome at our Gold Coast showroom and yard — 2457 Gold Coast Hwy, Mermaid Beach, and our warehouse yard at 14 Enterprise St, Molendinar.
Within 15 km of Mermaid Beach we also run our own pallet delivery at $130 per pallet.
